Ian is a professional helicopter pilot with an Air Transport Pilot’s Licence and over 3000 hours flying experience in a mixture of Search and Rescue and Off Shore Oil and Gas support. He began flying gliders at the age of sixteen and gained his fixed wing private pilot’s licence in 1997 at Long Beach, California.

Ian has remained passionate about sport and recreational flying ever since and much of his fixed wing experience is on tailwheel aeroplanes including the Super Cub, Piper Pawnee, Tiger Moth and Pitts Special. He is a keen aerobatic pilot in his spare time.

His diverse flying experiences both in the UK and abroad gave him the inspiration to found Adventure Flight Ltd. 

Trish, Ian's wife, has over fifteen years experience in Aviation Logistics and Customer Service.
